Qld rental relief proposal revised to offer landlords some protection

Qld rental relief proposal revised to offer landlords some protection A controversial Queensland government proposal to protect tenants during the economic downturn has been revised after landlords claimed the package gave tenants an unfair advantage.

The new laws include a six month ban on evictions and all non-essential inspections as well as a waiver on rental payments.

Renters will now need to provide proof they have lost more than 25 percent of their income.
