The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for 6 states for heavy rainfall under the influence of a low-pressure area that is likely to develop in the Bay of Bengal. The IMD has also tweeted regarding it and has said that a ‘low-Pressure Area is likely to develop over the east-central Bay of Bengal during next 48 hours’ and that 'Odisha, north Coastal AP, Telangana Vidarbha, Gangetic West Bengal, Gujarat will receive heavy to very heavy rainfall from June 9 to 11.
