Okay this May 5th deadline is quickly approaching for you to get your stimulus money. These are the people that need to pay attention to this.

People who receive benefits through either the Department of Veterans Affairs or Supplemental Security Income who have children have a new deadline if they want to get all of the stimulus money that is due them... this is because the government does not know that you have kids... so you have to file to get that extra money.

The government said on Friday that those beneficiaries who have children and who do not typically file tax returns need to update their information by May 5 in order for their eligible dependents to be counted in their stimulus payments.

That goes particularly if you have not filed tax returns for the 2018 or 2019 tax years and you have children under age 17.

The government has set up a website for non-filers where they can enter their information... it's right on IRS.gov

There are 3 main proposals right now for Stimulus Round Two:

The Emergency Money for the People Act would provide a $2,000 monthly stimulus check for up to one year
The Rent and Mortgage Cancellation Act would cancel rent and mortgage payments for up to one year
The Getting America Back to Work Act would provide a payroll tax rebate that covers 80 percent of payroll expenses, enabling businesses to more easily hire and retain employees.
