How to tie a DURABLE alternative to the Otter's Soft Milking EGG FLY

This week we tie a DURABLE alternative to the Otter's Soft Milking EGG FLY. The Otter's soft egg is a very effective egg pattern but being soft it falls apart easily. This hard UV resin pattern looks just as good and should last a few more fish. It will be ideal for those winter trout on the Tongariro and in the Ngongotaha.

Hook: Size 12 Scud Hook (Kumho barbed)
Thread: White (but any will do)
Egg shape: Loon UV Clear Fly Finish (Thick)
Colour: Loon UV Fly Finish in Hot Orange (or any colour you like)
