Meet the female Somali military captain fighting Al-Shabab terrorists. Iman Elman is a female captain in the Somali National Army. She is the youngest female commander in Somalia at the age of 26. Since joining the army in 2011, Captain Elman has risen to become the most prominent woman in the Somali army. She commands a battalion of 90 men. Her focus is to improve conditions for Somali women situation and to defeat terrorist ideology.
