A very intimate video about the birth of my second child. Putting together this video for the passed week has been a way for me to process what really happened. I feel disappointed with the personnel at the hospital that they weren't there for me when I needed them. But I'm also feeling very proud of myself for handling this alone.
But what would have happened if I took the sleeping pill that they gave me? Or what if I or the baby needed immediate care? I had never planned to do a home birth or unassisted birth. I wanted all the help and pain relief I could get.
Despite of the health care letting me down, overall it was a positive and empowering experience.
