A) How to Receive a Plenary Indulgence on Divine Mercy Sunday*

1) Make an Act of Contrition
- With Detachment from all sin
2) Spiritual Communion
3) Pray for the Holy's Father's intention (Pray one Our Father and One Apostle's Creed, and a prayer such as...Merciful Jesus, I trust in You)
4) Pray a Short prayer on Divine Mercy Sunday

**Must be made with the intention to go to Confession and Receive Communion as soon as the ban is lifted.*

B) How to Receive the Extraordinary Promise of Divine Mercy Sunday

1) Make an Act of Contrition
2) Spiritual Communion
3) Pray a short prayer on Divine Mercy Sunday

Act of Contrition
O my God,
I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee,
and I detest all my sins,
because I dread the loss of heaven, and the pains of hell;
but most of all because they offend Thee, my God,
Who are all good and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace,
to confess my sins, to do penance,
and to amend my life.

Amen.

Spiritual Communion Prayer
My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.

Short Prayer on Divine Mercy Sunday
Lord Jesus Christ, You promised St. Faustina that the soul that has been to Confession [I’m unable, but I made an Act of Contrition] and the soul that receives Holy Communion [I’m unable, but I made a Spiritual Communion] will receive the complete forgiveness of all sins and punishment. Please, Lord Jesus Christ, give me this grace.
